Honey Sriracha Chicken Wings

Bbq Honey-Sriracha Chicken Wings.

Crrrispy Asian-style Chicken Wings tossed in a delicious Sriracha honey glaze…Mmm!

They taste absolutely irresistible, and can be made in the air-fryer using no oil!

Ingredients for preparing the wings

  • About 3 pounds chicken wings (remove tips and cut into two, makes for even cooking)
  • 3tsp baking powder
  • Salt n pepper to taste

Method:

Wash clean and wipe dry the chicken wings, making sure there is no moisture.

Sprinkle baking powder, salt n pepper and toss to coat evenly.

You can grill these wings on the bbq, in your oven or use an airfryer.

Preheat airfryer for 5 minutes. Spray air fryer basket lightly with oil and place chicken wings inside.

Cook at 360F for 35 minutes. Tossing every 5-6 minutes.

PS: You can fill air fryer basket upto a double layer, as the intermittent tossing makes sure that they are cooked evenly. However resist the temptation to pack them in too tight.

Increase heat to 390F and cook for another 5 minutes till they become really crisp.

Transfer to flat cooking pan, drizzle honey Sriracha sauce on top.

Toss to coat evenly. Sprinkle with lightly roasted sesame seeds and some chopped scallion…serve warm!

Ingredients for the sauce

  • 2 heaped tsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2-3 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 2-3 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 heaped tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Method:

Cook all the above ingredients together to make a thick flowing glaze.
