Easy Coconut Laddu

Coconut Laddus are a quick delicious dessert to celebrate any occasion!imageYou can make them plain or stuff them with gulkand for that extra special touch!You can even decorate with nuts to make them look extra festive!Method:
Cook 750ml milk with 1/2 cup ground coconut and 1/2 cup grated coconut till it reduces to a thick consistency. If you like your laddus to have a smoother texture, grind the entire 1 cup.When it thickens and starts leaving the side of the pan.Add about 1/3 cup sugar and 2 green cardamom (groubd fine). Cook for a few more minutes till the mixture starts to solidify.Remove mix into a bowl and cool slightly.While still slightly warm (important), shape into laddus, roll in desiccated coconut or garnish with nuts/coconut flakes…ready!If filling laddus with gulkand, place 1/2 a tsp filling inside each laddu and then roll into balls.

    • I have used fresh grated coconut. Using dry grated coconut will have a slightly different taste, but yes it can be used too.
