I share with you my absolute fav recipe for Red wine Sangria. I’ve been using it faithfully for over 10 years now and it has stood the taste test of innumerable friends n family!
- 1 bottle chilled dry/semi-dry red wine, (like Rioja or Cabernet Sauvignon)
- 1/4 cup brandy + 1/4 cup triple sec. (or a total of 1/2 cup brandy)
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 tbs sugar
- 1/2 orange, cut thinly
- 1 lemon, cut thinly
- 1 lime, cut thinly
- 1 apple, cored and cut into small chunks
- Handful of roughly chopped mint
Combine the wine, brandy, triple sec, orange juice, and sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the orange, lemon, and lime slices, the apples and refrigerate until well chilled, about 1 hour. Remove from the refrigerator and serve in chilled glasses over ice.
