Sooji Ka Porridge

As another strong cold wave hits NY…..warm soothing Sooji Ka Porridge comes to our rescue! To make it healthier, try adding a natural sweetener like shakkar, gur or brown sugar like I did! And Adding a tbsp of your fav nuts takes it to a whole new level…yum yum!

Method:
Heat a tsp of ghee. Add 1/3 cup sooji/semolina. Roast for a minute. Add 1 cup milk. And cook on medium heat stirring constantly till custard consistency. Take off heat, as it cools it gets slightly thicker. Add 1/2 cup warm milk to thin it out. Stir in a tbsp of brown sugar and sprinkle some sliced almonds…ready!
