Crunchy Tutka Alu or Alu Took!

Serve it as an appetizer, or as a side with your main meal any which way it’s delicious!! I bring to you the classic method (how mom makes it) and my own improvised version too…take your pick! 🙂

Mom’s way, the traditional frying it twice

Mom’s Way:
Wash & peel small potatoes. Salt them and deep fry on low flame till slightly tender. Then press each one of them flat…taking care not to crumble! Deep fry in oil once again till golden brown. Sprinkle with salt, red chili pwdr and amchoor….serve hot!

My Way:
Wash, peel, salt and microwave potatoes till slightly tender. Then press each one of them flat…taking care not to crumble! Deep fry in oil till golden brown. Sprinkle with salt, red chili pwdr and amchoor….serve hot!
