Warm Custard Milk

image Hot steaming Custard Milk….a fond memory from my childhood that takes me back to cold winter nights in Chandigarh! With no central heating and endless layers of clothing, a cupful of hot steaming custard milk was enough to drive the winter blues away! It was Dadima’s little winter treat for me, that was sure to entice a delighted hug!! 🙂

Method:
Bring 2 cups of milk to rolling boil on medium heat. Reduce heat to low.
Blend 3 spoonfuls of custard powder in 1/2 cup cold milk.
Add to the heated milk. Cook till milk thickens to a thin flowing custard consistency.
Add sugar to taste and vanilla extract if you like.
Pour into cups….sip warm!
