Muttar Mushroom
Season’s fresh sweet tender Peas and button mushrooms sauteed together to make a simple flavorful curry. Paired it with soft ghee phulkas for a quick delicious weekday meal!
You will need
250 gms mushroom
250 gms Fresh peas
1 large onion
2 large tomatoes
1 tsp minced garlic (optional)
2 tsp minced ginger
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp jeers
1 black cardamom
3 cloves
1/4 tsp haldi
1/2 tsp red chilli pwdr
Salt to taste
Method
Heat 2 tsp of oil. Add jeera, black cardamom and cloves. Follow with the minced ginger and garlic. Cook for a couple of minutes. Then add finely chopped onions and cook till lightly golden.
Now add chopped tomatoes, salt, haldi, red chilli pwdr and dhania pwdr and cook till they melt.
Add +1/2 cup milk….
And the peas.
Lastly add quartered mushrooms…
And mix.
Cover and simmer for just 5 minutes….till mushrooms start to wilt.
Avoid the tendency to overcook the mushrooms or they turn stringy and unappetizing.
