Mmmm…Fragrant, delicious and with a depth of flavor that will transport you! 🙂
A wonderful winter offering, the green garlic’s bulbs and leaves both have mild garlic flavor….that lends themselves beautifully to this simple rice creation!
Method:
Slice the white cloves thinly.
Finely chop the green leaves too.
Take 1 tsp jeera
And 3-4 whole red chillies.
Heat some oil and add the jeera and the whole red chillies.
Once the jeera crackles, add the white garlic cloves.
Cook on medium low till they turn a light golden. Be careful not to burn!
Follow with the chopped leaves
and cook on medium high for a couple of minutes, till the leaves start crackling.
Now add the rice along with salt and red chilli pwdr to taste. Stir rice gently to combine with the other ingredients.
Cook for 2-3 minutes to let flavors meld….ready!
Serve warm!
