Move aside Sabudana vadas, Appe or Thalipeeth…
Make way for SABUDANA WAFFLES!
Crackling crunchy, quick n easy…and just made with a gentle spray of oil.
Fasting or not…you’ve got to try this one! 🙂
Method:
Start with soaking sabudana 4-5 hours/overnight in water. The level of water should be about 1/2 inch higher to the sabudana.
Next day, check to make sure they are fluffed up. I taste and make sure that the inner core has softened. Else sprinkle generously with water and leave aside for another hour.
Next add 1/3 cup mashed potato to 2/3 cup soaked sabudana ( make sure all water is drained and it’s not soggy)
Add salt, red chilli pwdr, amchoor pwdr, minced green chillies and chopped fresh dhania. Mix to combine.
Spray your waffle plates lightly with oil. Take a fistful of the mix. Press onto the greased plates.
Close waffle iron and cook on high setting for 6-7 min. Sear for the last 2-3 minutes….
open waffle iron, check to see if it’s cooked to a beautiful golden color
Then lift the sabudana waffle out,
transfer to serving plate and serve immediately along with spicy chutney.
Best enjoyed right away at its crunchiest best!
