Golden Raisins flavored with Paan-Leaf, a wonderful Mouth-freshner!
A great sugar-free alternative to end your meal that is as healthy as it is delicious! Make a big batch, as it can get quite addictive! 🙂
Method:
Spread paan leaves on a paper towel. Cover with another paper towel. Keep in a cool dry shady place till leaves turn completely dry. Then grind the leaves in a dry grinder to a fine powder. Microwave the raisins for 20 seconds to warm them slightly and make them slightly moist. Toss them well in the pan leaf powder. Using a sieve remove any dry powder that does not stick.
Store raisins in a clean dry air tight container, so that they retain, flavor, aroma and color!
And another great idea (courtesy Mousumi Biswas) is to use saunf (fennel seeds) instead of paan leaves.
Just dry roast saunf on medium heat for 2-3 minutes…stirring constantly to avoid burning.
Grind into a very fine powder.
Microwave the raisins for 20 seconds to warm them slightly and make them slightly moist. Toss them well in the saunf powder. Using a sieve remove any dry powder that does not stick.
