Spicy guacamole with smoky undertones of smoked garlic and Jalapeño….this is just not your everyday guacamole…give it a try, you will absolutely love it!
Serve with chips…or on top of ripe firm tomatoes….like we do! 🙂
Ingredients:
You will need…
2 large ripe Hass Avacados
1 small jalapeno (outer peel smoked on a low flame)
2-3 cloves of garlic (outer peel smoked on a low flame)
Salt n fresh lime
Ripe firm red tomatoes (if using)
Method:
Scrape off outer peel of smoked jalapeño with a knife.
Peel smoked garlic cloves and remove outer peel.
Remove seeds if you don’t want it too spicy. Ripe firm red tomatoes (if using)
Chop both jalapeño and garlic really fine.
Slice Avacadoes in two halves. Stick a knife into the seed.
Twist knife gently to remove seed.
Using a spoon gently scoop out the green flesh from each half.
Sprinkle with lime juice immediately to prevent browning.
Now chop the Avacado flesh roughly. Using a fork mash it a little, but not too much, if like me, you prefer your guacamole chunky.
Gently stir in the finely chopped smoked jalapeño and garlic.
Add salt to taste and another generous squeeze of lime.
Your guacamole is ready…you can enjoy it with crunchy corn Chips or use as topping over tomatoes….yum yum!
