Enjoy it in its pure form…or as chaat with a sprinkle of kala namak, chat masala and lemon juice. It even makes a decadent dessert if you drizzle a liberal helping of sweetened cream on top!
This method was shared by my friend Anju sometime ago, but I didn’t pay close heed! However when I did try…it absolutely blew me away!
Method:
Wash shakarkandi without peeling.
Place on warm roti wala tawa.
Cover with a lid.
Reduce heat to really low.
Set timer for 30 minutes.
Open lid. Flip each shakarkandi upside down.
Cover and cook for another 30 minutes.
Peel and enjoy the delicious carmalized treat…yum yum yum!
