What is SOW (Strike out the White)
The SOW initiative is an effort to sow healthy eating habits in my family by choosing healthier meal options.
We want to try avoid foods that have been processed and refined, like white flour, white rice, pasta, noodles, white bread, crackers, cereal, and simple sugars like table sugar and high-fructose corn syrup. Instead the focus will be on whole grains, fresh fruits, salad, green vegetables and lean meats !
CREATIVE IDEAS For SOW Day 3
Menu for Day 3
Breakfast: Protein Overload Paneer Omlette with a cup of Tea.
Lunch: Idlis made using Buckwheat Groats with Coconut Chutney and Gunpowder along with coffee.
Evening snack: Roasted Shakarkandi (sweet potato)
Dinner: Tori ki Subzi
With Dal ke atte Ki Roti (dough made using leftover dal with atta) and dahi.
