Sweet Buttermilk French Toast

This Weekend Workshop was focused on reinventing the FRENCH TOAST in its healthy avatar…Soft, Juicy and Plump…describes this delicious spin on the classic French toast!

Method:
Take 2 eggs, 1/2 cup buttermilk/yoghurt, 1 tbsp sugar, and pinch of cinnamon

Whisk together into a homogeneous mix

Quickly dip bread (I prefer to use multigrain) into the mix, making sure to cover with a thin even layer on both sides.

Place on hot pan and cook with some butter on medium high flame till golden

Flip and cook on other side
image
Serve with fresh fruit/berries and a drizzle of maple syrup/honey

Watch your kids guzzle them down in glee!
