In the mood for some crunchy Chana-dal Bhajiyas…Fast?
Here is the perfect solution…quick ready to use Bhajiya mix that will deliver extra crispy Bhajiyas from start to finish in 15 min flat!
Best of all these Bhajiyas remain crisp even hours after they are made…so go ahead and make a big batch if you like 🙂
To make Bhajiyas from the ready-mix.
Soak 1/2 cup mix with some water…
to make a thick paste.
Add sliced onions and fresh dhania to the mix. Add salt n spices according to taste. I add, red chilli pwdr and amchoor. Leave aside for 5 minutes.
The mix will become slightly thin…
so add another 1/2 cup Bhajiya mix to thicken it.
Taste and adjust spices as needed. If you like you can also add finely chopped green chilies.
Drop small portions of batter into medium hot oil and fry till crisp!
Drain on paper towel…ready to enjoy, yum yum!
To make the Bhajiya mix…
Wash Chana dal, drain all water and dry on clean cloth/paper towel till completely dry.
Grind the dal using a good dry grinder. I used my Vitamix dry jar for this. However a regular dry spice/coffee grinder will also work.
The mix should be slightly coarse…do not grind it too fine or you will not get crunchy Bhajiyas!
Store in an air tight container to be used as needed.
