A rich delicious indulgent Paneer preparation that is sure to wow your taste buds…and is a healthy dessert option too!
Method:
Chop dates/figs, kaju, kishmish/cranberries, pista, almonds into small pieces and toss them with a couple of tsp of sugar to lightly sweeten and avoid their clumping together
Bring full fat milk to rolling boil
Add the chopped dry fruits to the milk along with some vinegar to curdle milk. Once the milk curdles, strain into muslin cloth.
Tie into a potli and place under running tap water for a minute. Hang the potli to drain out the whey for 20 minutes.
To shape and firm paneer… transfer to paneer maker lined with plastic wrap and place a heavy weight on top or just place potli under a heavy weight for a couple of hours.
Once firmly set, gently take out of paneer maker/potli
Chill paneer for atleast a couple of hours.
Garnish with a light sprinkle of granulated sugar and serve!
Tastes great on toasted bread for breakfast or as a healthy desert and is a hit with kids too! 🙂
If we don’t have paneer maker..how do we make the panner…any box is ok
Just use a clean piece of cloth to strain and shape the paneer.
