Hot steaming Custard Milk….a fond memory from my childhood that takes me back to cold winter nights in Chandigarh! With no central heating and endless layers of clothing, a cupful of hot steaming custard milk was enough to drive the winter blues away! It was Dadima’s little winter treat for me, that was sure to entice a delighted hug!! 🙂
Method:
Bring 2 cups of milk to rolling boil on medium heat. Reduce heat to low.
Blend 3 spoonfuls of custard powder in 1/2 cup cold milk.
Add to the heated milk. Cook till milk thickens to a thin flowing custard consistency.
Add sugar to taste and vanilla extract if you like.
Pour into cups….sip warm!
