Crispy well made Dosas or soft spongy Idlis are an absolute delight and can be enjoyed simply with even ghee and podi! However, accompaniments like Sambhar, chutney and Alu make them an even more substantial complete meal! 🙂

Piping Hot Sambhar is a melting pot of interesting ingredients that are spicy, sour and just a hint of sweet! If added right….they all come together to create magic!

The Alu can be used as a stuffing for Masala Dosas or as a spicy side with plain Dosas. It is flavored with onions and spices and has the light fluffy consistency of mashed potatoes

The creamy coconut chutney can have many colorful variations. However in our home we favor the simplest version made with coconut and roasted chana dal. 🙂
