Lip smacking Finger-licking Delicious….Barbeque Chicken made with My Home-made BBQ Sauce!
Unlike BBQ Chicken made from ready made store bought sauces that are overtly sweet and do not appeal to the Desi taste profile, this one is sure to please!
Method:
For the marination…
Rinse clean & dry 10 chicken drumsticks. Poke with a fork or make slits with knife on all sides for the marinade to seep in. Marinate the chicken drumsticks with 1 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp red chilli pwdr and some salt for about 2 hours.
For the grilling…
Take chicken out of marinade. Place on medium hot grill and cook for about 20 minutes keeping the lid closed.
Mid way turn the drumsticks over to ensure even cooking.
When chicken is almost done….
Baste liberally with the homemade BBQ sauce and cook till done! Just before taking it off grill, give a final baste of the BBQ sauce once again and take off grill.
Serve hot with a tangy coleslaw and my Jalapeno Cheddar Corn Mufins for a delicious summer treat!
Looks really good…love it bbq’d! 🙂
