Hot Kanda Poha

Hubby’s fav breakfast…and kids love it too!

Method:
Wet thick poha under running water in a wire colander. Drain and keep aside. Heat oil, add rai, karipatta, peanuts and saute for a minute. Now add chopped onions & green chillies. Sauté till onions become transparent. Now add about a tbsp of grated coconut, haldi, red chili pwdr and cook for a minute. Add the drained poha and mix gently. Finally sprinkle the sugar ‘n’ salt water(mix salt to taste and 1 tsp of sugar to about 1/4 cup water), mix gently. Leave covered for 15 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped dhania & a final squeeze of lime!

  1. Ruchi, Poha is my all time fav…can have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. After reading your recipe I recollected that the salt and sugar is added in solution form. I have been adding them in solid. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Have a great weekend.
